Sam Bailey Michael Bolton

Sam Bailey performs alongside Michael Bolton for BBC Radio 2

On Monday 5 March Sam Bailey performed alongside multi-Grammy award-winning singer Michael Bolton, for one night only at the London Palladium.

A Symphony of Hits: Michael Bolton was a sell-out show and saw the legend recreate his greatest hits with the accompaniment of the BBC Concert Orchestra. Sam was just one of the guest singers on the night and was honoured to share a stage with and perform a duet alongside Michael. Lending her stunning vocals to the evening, she and Michael recreated a number of hits including 2011 How am I supposed to Live and Ain’t No Mountain High Enough to audiences.

“Michael Bolton is a true icon in the music industry, and I have grown up listening to his music” Sam said.

“I have been lucky enough to see and do many amazing things in my career so far and duetting with Michael certainly sits up there as one of the most memorable moments.”

The evening was recorded as part of one of the most listened-to shows on British Radio, BBC Radio 2’s Friday Night is Music Night. The show is the world’s longest-running live concert programme and is broadcasted to BBC Radio 2 listeners most Fridays.

The programme features an eclectic range of music including classical, opera, music from film and theatre and operetta.

Those that didn’t get live tickets to A Symphony of Hits: Michael Bolton, can tune into BBC Radio 2 on Friday 22 March at 8pm to listen to the full set.
