Mark Foster speaks about mental health on behalf of Gillette

Monday 19 November marked international men’s day – a day which encourages men to speak out about their mental health.

Mark Foster represented Team GB at an Olympic and World Championship level. In 2017 he came out as gay and has since spoken openly about his own struggles with mental health which came as a result of keeping his sexuality secret for so long.

We paired the inspirational sportsman with men’s grooming brand Gillette and together they discussed the topic of what makes a modern man and worked to dispel the belief that opening up about feelings isn’t ‘manly’. The discussion was broadcast on Sky’s Sunrise breakfast programme on International Men’s Day.
