Harry Redknapp appointed Birmingham City manager
The former Tottenham, West Ham and Southampton boss takes over the club in 20th place and just three points above the relegation zone. With just three games remaining Gianfranco Zola resigned as the club’s manager last night after winning just two of the last 22 matches.
Harry’s first game in charge will be on Sunday as the club makes the short journey across the city to face rivals Aston Villa in the second city derby. They then face Huddersfield Town at home before the season comes to an end on 7 May away to Bristol City.
This is Harry’s first managerial position in England since leaving QPR in February 2015 and speaking on TalkSport this morning he said, “It's a real challenge, I'll live up there until the end of the season, and if I keep them up I'll sit down and talk about next season.”
Everyone here at Champions Celebrity wishes him the best of luck for the rest of the season.
