PROFILE:

Dominic Holland has built a great comedy career. He found his feet in 1991 in a small comedy café in London, and has developed into a successful and widely acknowledged comedian. His career has seen him tour around the UK, performing his social observations and sarcastic stand-up.

What was the first album you bought?

Parallel Lines by Blondie – Debbie Harry had a huge influence on my tender teenage years.

What is your biggest fear?

Knowing that from now on – washing my hair is a risk.

What is your favourite takeaway?

Chinese, but only from my local. I tend not to trust takeaways in general because how many people can be arsed to go back to the shop to complain?

Favourite TV show?

Whatever box set I am currently on and completely beholden to. I seem to remember that 24 robbed my life of a few weeks at least.

What is your biggest pet hate?

People confusing the verb ‘get’ with ‘have’ – as in – could I get a lager? No, you can’t. But you can have a lager and why can’t you speak properly?

Do you have a celebrity crush?

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley seems like a lovely person to me – albeit this choice might be a little clichéd and so I will plump for an old imaginary flame of mine – Daisy from the Dukes of Hazard. It was her thighs. People of a certain age, google her thigh

What is your favourite film?

My Cousin Vinny – the funniest film ever made or I have seen anyway – and comedy is a genre that is most difficult to do in film and the least heralded.

If you could host a dinner party which three people, dead or alive, would you invite?

Elvis, Jesus and Albert Einstein

If you could take 3 items on a desert island with you, what would you take?

A tooth brush, a pillow and pair of slippers

What would you be if you weren't a celebrity?

Single.

What motto do you live by?

Sorry, but that was my best.
